Wonderful people here. They work tirelessly to make sure families in need don't go hungry! I love the herbs that are planted near the entrance. Wild mustangs are often seen nearby.
Your job will be either to put the items into categories, to place items in to boxes, or to make boxes, empty garbage items in the dumpster etc.
A great place to volunteer. We go as a family and have a great time at the warehouse.

Our boy scout troop came to help sort food for the needy! This is work but it's fun work. You get yourself into a routine. It is a great place to volunteer for families too!
This is fast paced work with some short breaks as you wait for a new large bundle to be sorted.
If you have never been let me explain briefly what happens. You sign in. Then you wait for the volunteer to come and check you in and give you a short description of what to do and how to sort. They will also tell you what dates to look for what is considered a saved date and a past due date. There will be a number of items that you will need to toss out.
There are several categories that you need to sort the large pallets of bundles of food items into for example baking goods, entrees, snacks etc. Then once divided you can then parcel them into boxes with specific weights to go out to various areas.
They are always seeking volunteers. It is a fun and awesome way to volunteer for our local community!!
